All members of the Crystal Therapy Council teach to the same, agreed core curriculum, which states that:
:: Schools and Colleges offering Diplomas in Crystal Healing or Crystal Therapy must provide at least 180 hours of face-to-face tuition spread over a minimum of two years
:: A maximum of 90 of the 180 hours of tuition to include the agreed Training Standards/Core Curriculum. The Core Curriculum is accredited and validated at 24 OCN/NVQ credits at Level 3
All students are taught and assessed by fully qualified and experienced, registered and insured Professional Crystal Practitioners. Teachers within the colleges/schools must hold a formal, recognised teaching qualification. Principals/Teachers must undertake a minimum of 12 hours per annum relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Crystal Healing/Therapy Training Standards and VSR
These standards have been agreed and implemented in order to promote the process of Voluntary Self-Regulation (VSR). As complementary therapies are, as yet, not regulated by statute, the key reason for this is to aid the public in discriminating between a practitioner who has undertaken extensive training/practise and someone who has undertaken a short course or workshop.
